Silverman Workshop

I just got back from interning with Burton Silverman in New York City where I was invited to attend his summer workshop. These are two drawings I did at his workshop. This was an incredible experience!!!

Landscape Studies

Here are a couple of quick landscape studies I just finished from pictures I took on the drive to Chadds Ford, PA. I think they are of Kansas.

Silverman Internship

So I've been working with Burton Silverman in NYC and it has been quite inspiring! Here are a few of the works he's done, or is working on, that he let me photograph in his studio! His work is gorgeous!

Recent Drawings

I've done these both in the past few months and I think they turned out fairly successful. The first is a copy drawing from Henry Yan, and the second is a drawing from a live model over a few months span drawing once a week.

Head Study, 8*10, Pencil on paper, $225

Just one of my inspirations!!

These were done by Odd Nerdrum. It's so gorgeous how he can create so much out of something so simple as a brick. I will paint this well one day!

Copy Drawings

These drawings have been done in the last six months through my apprenticeship to learn to see accurately and perfectly. The first took me about a month, three days a week, about five hours a day and the other two were progressively quicker! The last is a copy drawing from a photograph, again to develop an accurate eye. It may seem laborious, but I've learned more, in a shorter period of time by doing these than any other drawing.

Talent Award Portfolio

These are a few painting and color studies I've done recently while working with Bill Whitaker, he sure has taught me a great deal.
